Earnest Leon "Pete" Bragwell, 80 of Russellville, died May 18, 2001, at the Russellville Hospital.

He was a member of Belgreen Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by father, William Bragwell; his mother, Modena Bragwell; three brothers, Valson Bragwell, Dolph Bragwell, and Foy "Fox" Bragwell; and two sisters, Pauline Duncan and Irene Williams.

Funeral services were May 20, 2001, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial was in Mountain Home Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Hazel L. Bragwell; two brothers, Cosey Bragwell and Eugene Bragwell; one daughter, Marlyn Hargett; two sons, Tommy Bragwell and wife, Mary Ann, and Joe Bragwell and wife, Sandra; eight grandchildren, Darryl Hargett and wife, Amanda, Dana Hill and husband, Jason, Lisa Oliver, Kim Smith and husband, Greg, Tammi Thompson, T. J. Bragwell and wife, Tressa, April Hawkins and husband, Anthony, and Jaime Lindsey; and ten great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Lewis, Andy Cansler, Darryl Hargett, Jason Hill, T.J. Bragwell, and Greg Smith.
