Life's Weaving - Florence (Hester) Holcomb

Florence Holcomb, 89, died Saturday, September 1, 2001, at home. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Jackson and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Siwell Road Church of Christ. Services are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial in Lakewood South Memorial Park.

A native of Franklin County, Alabama, Mrs. Holcomb had lived in Jackson for the past 66 years. She was a homemaker and the widow of the late Mr. Robert R. Holcomb Sr., who was a retired Jackson Public School teacher and was a member of Siwell Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Miriam Holcomb of Jackson and Tom and Judy Holcomb of Tucker, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Murray North of Winter Garden, Florida and Barbara Tork of Ft. Worth; brother, Morris Hester of Belgreen, Alabama; sisters, Ola Black of Ocala, Florida, Eva Kirkley, Ima Glasgow and Marie Bragwell, all of Russellville, Alabama; and 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
