Jessie Hester Rites Held At Belgreen

Last rites for Mrs. Jessie Hester, age 88, of Russellville, Alabama were held at the Belgreen Church of Christ, Monday, August 6, 1973, at 2 p.m. Mrs. Hester was a member of the Church of Christ and the widow of Walter Hester.

Raymond Harvell was the officiating minister. Spry Funeral Home was in charge of burial in Belgreen Cemetery.

Mrs. Hester died at the North Alabama Hospital in Russellville Saturday, August 4th, 1973.

Surviving include five daughters, Florence Holcomb of Jackson, Mississippi, Ola Black of Ocala, Florida, Eva Kirkley of Russellville, Ima Glasgow, wife of Kemper Glasgow who is principal of Lamar County High School of Vernon, and Marie Bragwell of Russellville; four sons, Foy Hester of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Clovis Hester of Macon, Georgia, Morris Hester of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Odell Hester of Warner Robins, Georgia; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
