Joseph W. (Joe) Taylor, Sr., 59, of 2715 Hovekamp Road, died at 10:20 PM Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.

He worked for 25 years for Harry Harris Corp. as a serviceman, was owner of Taylor Heating and Air-conditioning, and was a 40-year member of Carpenters Local No. 357.

Mr. Taylor is survivied by his wife, Eunice Sharp Taylor; a son, Joseph Wesley Taylor Jr., of Paducah; two daughters, Candace Deweese of Paducah, and Jana Trover of Ledbetter; two sisters, Hazel Scott of Russellville, Ala., and Evelyn George of Hodges, Ala.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Sue Taylor, two brothers, and a sister. His parents were Manuel Taylor and Mamie Simpson Taylor.

Services will be at 2 PM Tuesday at Roth Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Harold Council and the Rev. Cary Puckett will officiate. Burial will be in Bloominggrove Cemetery in Birdsville.
