Life's Weaving - Walter Odell Hester

Walter Odell Hester, 79, Warner Robbins, Georgia, died Friday, November 29, 1996, in Macon, Georgia. Services will be Monday, December 2, 1998, at McCullough Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Patton officiating. Burial following in Magnolia Park Cemetery, McCullough Funeral Home directing.

He was a retired Air Force and Air Force Reserve Master Sergeant and had worked in production control at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Georgia. He was a member and past elder of Westside Church of Christ.

Odell was preceded in death by his parents, Walter A. and Jessie (Hooper) Hester and one brother, Foy Benton Hester.

Survivors include his wife, Edith (Sparks) Hester of Warner Robins; daughters, Pat Sweatt of Milledgeville and Theresa Hutson of Savannah; sisters and brothers, Florence Holcomb of Jackson, Mississippi, Eva Kirkley, Marie Bragwell and Ima Glasgow, all of Russellville, Alabama, Ola Black of Fort McCoy, Florida, Clovis Hester of Macon, and Morris Hester of Tuscumbia, Alabama; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1544, Warner Robins, GA 31099-1544.
