Tom Rikard, 68, Rt. 6, Florence Dies Thursday

Tom Rikard, 68, Rt. 6, Florence, died Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the residence.

He was a native of Colbert County, a veteran of World War I. He had resided in Florence for 20 years.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Long Cedar Church of Christ with Charles Kretzer officiating. Burial will be in Long Cedar cemetery with Morrison-Elkins directing.

Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Ella Rikard; four sons, Coleman, James, Tillice and Donald Rikard, all of Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Engel, Peoria, Mrs. Sarah Castile, Florence; a brother, Tillmon, Sheffield; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jo Stout, Tuscumbia, Miss Lillie Mae Rikard, Tuscumbia. Bearers will be members of the American Legion Post No. 11.
